Safety First!

I feel like Blue is getting a lot of lighting issues done... I don't know if it is because lighting is an easy fix, or if things just keep...EXPLODING around us.

Yes. Exploding. In the 2.5 months we have lived in Blue, four- yes four- lightbulbs have exploded. Including the exterior light. Since I am not a potato kind of gal we have never been able to get the socket out that exploded out of the old porch light. I figured since there wasn't really a "fixture" anyway, that we should probably just start from scratch anyway.

This is what was on the porch when we moved in.

Beautiful, right?

$35 at Home Depot, two tries (four weeks), two helpers, and 15 cuss words later, I finally have a light fixture on my porch.

What is that saying? If a man says he's going to do something, you don't need to remind him every six months?

Helper #1, Brenna
Helper #2, Robby
Doesn't matter how long it took- the point is, lighting (at least out front) is a safety issue. You MUST have lighting on your exits. I'm very happy to finally be able to walk up to my door without feeling like the jaws theme is playing.

LET THERE BE LIGHT.

    1. Haha! And in the heat too... he was compensated with a frosty beverage, so he was more than happy to help.
