I take it back.

I take back everything I said about wall collages. I did one tonight that I'm actually kind of geeked about.

I call it: MY SEASON WALL.

Yeah.

I did this on the wall on the landing going up the stairs so I sassed it up with a little stair pattern. I bought these frames about three years ago at Target, and I've used them for random things throughout the years. Here was their last life in my old jewelry studio.

This is why I love investments like this. It's a never ending cycle for decor around the house. I decided to put these up with seasonal scrapbook paper (spending less than $3. BAM) because I can go get new paper whenever I want and keep a sassy seasonal montage going on. It took me about 45 minutes to cut them to size and hang them up and even the NateNate was impressed. And it wasn't just because I'm short and managed to hang pictures up high.

Not bad for a couple bucks. Though, just as I'm feeling all festive about fall, I can feel it in my bones I should be thinking about winter decor already!

Oh. Also, something dorky and exciting. A certain someone had to rake his lawn for the first time. It's already obnoxious, but I was secretly excited.

Is fall everyone's favorite season or is it just us?

  1. love it! I've got scrapbook paper in mine too- it's such a cheap and pretty solution.

Sometimes at the end of a holiday Target will have whole packs of scrapbook paper in the dollar spot section, and it is awesome. I got like 20 sheets of Halloween paper for $2.50 last year.

  2. Day after each major holiday at JoAnn is a great opportunity to snag a few pretties. They go on clearance and you just add them to your holiday storage buckets and each holiday gets a little better.

  3. The lack of symmetry bothers me. This will not surprise you. :-)

  4. Nice! Fall is definitely my favorite season, too....we still have mostly green leaves around here, though. But at least it's usually under 80 these days!

    1. Gretchen, that is too mean! I've been scraping frost off my car in the morning and the heats been on the last few weeks! When I drove by the bank this morning it was in the 40s.

    2. You can feel smug come May when it starts hitting 90 here, though!

    3. I grew up in GA and moved back, but in the interim I spent a few winters outside of Cleveland and in Boston, so I can at least empathize :)

  5. Fall is definately my favorite season! I never get tired of watching the colors creep across a tree. Changes daily. We are lucky enough to have a house that backs up to a woods, so I just look out the windows! I love your idea of changing a cluster of pictures with the seasons! Especially on the stairway! Nice!

  6. Ack! I always have SUCH issues with scattering my photos so they're not all just in a neat square. I love this layout and am going to pin it :)

    1. Thanks, dear! I have such a hard time finding layouts that I like that don't look cluttered...
