We are going to focus on something I did in July that I never blogged about. Yep, I suck. I realized when I was going through projects for yesterday's post that we hardly covered any of the stuff we did for the master bedroom. Apparently, according to this blog, we don't even have a dresser. This Includes the pillows, valances and closet coverings, all of which
I got the idea for this pillow from our amazing best friend, Pinterest, who led me over to Cluck Cluck Sew's post here.
As she does a really awesome job explaining it, I'll leave all the DIY stuff to her, but leave you with these few hints.
- Make sure you buy the felt on the bolt, not the sheets (which I think she says, but make sure to do this! It's much thicker)
- Instead of the final petal in the middle, I made a covered button and put that on. I think it gave it a completely finished look that hid all the seams.
- The deeper you get into this, the harder your machine has to work, so make sure you have extra machine needles handy!
It's a super easy project, and anyone can do it in less than an hour. If anyone else has made one of these, I'd love to see your finished pictures!
P:S fun stuff is happening over on our Facebook page. Have you checked it out yet? I'm not saying there's a movie of the dogs chasing a laser level...but....there's totally a video of the dogs chasing a laser level.
