DIW: Bobbi's Mirror

Do it yourself, and do it right, then you can write!

Today's DIW comes from Bobbi in Illinois.

Bobbi had a french provincial dresser when she was a child, but now that she's grown up and has two girls of her own, she wanted to give the mirror on the dresser a facelift.

The lines on the mirror were nice and girly, and she had had it since she was 8. She removed the support beams from the back, taped off the mirror and gave it a good sanding and a few coats of spray paint. Since her girls are tiny and can't see mirrors up on dressers, she put it at their level in their room.

Isn't that such a simple way to keep a piece of furniture in the family?

Snaps to Bobbi!

  1. Aw, I love it when furniture gets passed down..and I like the idea of putting the mirror where the kids can see it!

    1. Me too! And they just don't make furniture like they used to...
