It was kind of remarkable- I will do a full detailing of everything that went down, but let's just say this old lady looked like an old lady, and just like Joan Rivers she looks...less like an old lady.
Here is what she looked like the day we bought her.
I know in pictures it doesn't look like much, but to me after walking up to the house every day for 9 months, the house looks bigger. They look off about 6 inches of shingles so having one layer makes it look so much larger and crisper to me.
Not having the satellite makes a big difference to me too. It was such a useless eyesore that we don't have to look at anymore.
The new windows have made a huge difference already too. We have gotten used to sleeping with like 15 quilts to try and stay warm at night, but we've actually been warm enough that we've stopped running the heat as high at night.
