Christmas and Shit.

Uhhh, so shit guys, anyone else suddenly realize that Christmas is 15 days away?

like...1-5.

I feel like December is happening really, really fast.

Things I've done.

...Well, I've decorated half of the Christmas tree. It looks very nice from arm height to bump height, the bottom and the stop are sketchy as hell- and totally not properly floofed, but what are you gunna do?

I also put the stockings up, but other than that, I haven't put up my other christmas trees, or our outdoor lights, or anything like that. I am kind of thinking it's just not going to happen this year. Not to be a humbug or anything, but I'm 30 weeks preggy and it's cold as hell outside. I don't feel the need to make Nate do all this stuff by himself, only to have to take it down by himself in three weeks.

We're also being super low key about Christmas. We are done with our baby showers now, so I think we might buy some baby stuff off of amazon and tuck that under the tree just to look festive, but it seems silly to drop several hundred dollars with my maternity leave rearing it's ugly head here in two months.

Ugh, logic. Sometimes I hate being an adult."Bills are more important than Christmas" HUMBUG.

I will have some sewing projects to share after those people are given their Christmas presents (I have 3 kid quilts to make by Friday. Let's see how that goes...)

So, with that, I'll leave you with this picture of me in a shark onesie.

And don't judge her for being big. It might have something to do with 10pm milkshakes.

  1. Oh man, I've hit Christmas panic too! I'm not sure where all the time went. I think I'm going to have to shop this weekend and it's going to make me want to cry.

  2. I totally don't blame you-- we don't even have a tree this year. We each picked a favorite decoration or two and I put those out with a garland and that's it. All I need is my disney ornaments and snow globes, and Matt just requires one of those bubble holiday nightlights. haha

  3. I remember this from last year! You should definitely enjoy low key pregnant Christmas this year.....if you're ever super pregnant at Christmas again you'll HAVE to go through the motions for the already born kid :)

  4. I'm right there with you. Super low key Christmas. I wasn't going to put up the tree, but Aaron and Heidi begged. So up it went. We aren't doing our outdoor lights either.
